It’s been a great 2 years…it’s not me it’s you…
I am moving on to greener pastures.
Maybe we’ll see each other again some time?

Some great geometric visuals in this video, reminds me of a previous blog I posted.
So it’s only the beginning of the year and I think it’s fair to say we’ve got our ‘best video of the year’ award already, from the infamous M.I.A.
The trend setting artist is known for her creative yet controversial videos, as seen in my previous blog about her. She again teams up with director Romain Gavras for the ‘Bad girls’ video, which showcases an alternative perspective of the cliche rap videos, by having a middle eastern party in the desert (plus wearing a hoody!) and ghost-riding on banged up cars, with her arabian friends. This video is definitely one added to my archive list and again solidifies M.I.A as one of the most creative music artists ever.
FMP Research…
In 2011 Google Developer Day came to eight cities around the world, bringing you the future in web and mobile technologies. These one-day events featured advanced technical content on Google platforms and products from the teams that work on them.
So my FMP research continues…and so does my love for illustration, this time with Happy lovers town (irony?)
headed by illustrator Jonathan Calugi, now heads my list with Togni as my most inspiration designers at the moment.
I’m sure you’ll see their influence in the my work which I’ve kept hidden from you recently.
New identity you say?
Continuing from my research day today for my upcoming final major project at university, I’ve come across this amazing concept PS3 launched June last year, The Studio, a digital a brand new digital art store on the PlayStation Network, curated by Studio Output, in association with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE).
The Studio brings the work of some of the most coveted creators of illustration, design, fashion and music from across the globe to PlayStation audiences worldwide. Here at Studio Output, we’re working with each artist to produce original works, which we then develop to create a range of static and dynamic themes downloadable for PlayStation®3 (PS3™) and PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable).
It showcases some of my favourite designers at the moment, I will blog about them in my next post.

I’m currently researching for my final major projects for Uni and came across this cool concept! Everyone loves putting together puzzles, so everyone must love this.
New York based ‘Faile’ explored a series of work influenced by the use of modular wooden cubes over the last three years, they have launched a website and mobile app to highlight the original inspiration behind this work.
This has given me some great ‘pieces’ of inspiration for my upcoming research!
So a week before dissertations are due for all 3rd year creative courses – the world’s biggest online information source, Wikipedia decides to have a BLACKOUT for 24hours!
This is probably a blessing in disguise, as wiki is not the best source for referencing but hey! let’s be real everyone uses it for a starting point at least!
This is what Wikipedia have to say;
‘ Wikipedia is protesting against SOPA and PIPA by blacking out the English Wikipedia for 24 hours, beginning at midnight January 18, Eastern Time. Readers who come to English Wikipedia during the blackout will not be able to read the encyclopedia. Instead, you will see messages intended to raise awareness about SOPA and PIPA, encouraging you to share your views with your representatives, and with each other on social media.’
But who are SOPA and PIPA?
‘ SOPA and PIPA represent two bills in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate respectively. SOPA is short for the “Stop Online Piracy Act,” and PIPA is an acronym for the “Protect IP Act.” (“IP” stands for “intellectual property.”) In short, these bills are efforts to stop copyright infringement committed by foreign web sites’
So Wiki are having this blackout in protest against these 2 groups who are threatening to block all free access to free online information – due to copyright infringement :/ Wiki of course one of those free online sources would immediately come under threat, so they are using their powers to influence the world (who mostly rely on it) to come together in awareness against the campaign before it is too late!
We’ll have to see where this ends..
